Content & Disclosure Policy

Effective Date: October 1, 2026

MôNC, Inc. (“MONC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is dedicated to providing healthcare professionals, researchers, and clinicians with an innovative platform for discovering scientific literature, regulatory updates, industry developments, and engaging in peer-to-peer clinical exchange. To maintain the highest standards of clinical integrity, transparency, and trust across our mobile application (the “App”) and related web services (collectively, the “Services”), this Content & Disclosure Policy outlines the principles governing all content published, summarized, curated, or shared on MONC.

1. Editorial Mission & Scope

The primary mission of MONC is to streamline and synthesize cardiovascular, interventional, and medical intelligence for licensed healthcare providers. Content on MONC falls into four primary categories:

  • Scientific Literature (Science): Curated summaries, digests, and citations of peer-reviewed journal articles, clinical trials, and conference proceedings;
  • Regulatory Updates: Publicly available regulatory alerts, safety communications, recalls, and approvals from authoritative bodies (such as the FDA, EMA, PMDA, and other health authorities);
  • Industry News: Reporting on healthcare industry announcements, medical device and pharmaceutical developments, earnings, and clinical milestone updates;
  • Peer Community Content (MoncAir): Case studies, clinical perspectives, audio discussions, and professional commentary posted by registered healthcare users and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

2. Professional & Educational Disclaimer (Not Medical Advice)

MONC IS AN INFORMATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL TOOL DESIGNED EXCLUSIVELY FOR QUALIFIED HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS. THE CONTENT PRESENTED ON THE APP AND SERVICES DOES NOT CONSTITUTE MEDICAL ADVICE, CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS.

The summaries, literature syntheses, discussions, and other materials on MONC are provided for general educational purposes only and must not be used as a substitute for the clinical judgment, diagnosis, or personalized patient treatment decisions of a qualified medical practitioner. Clinicians must independently evaluate and confirm all clinical guidelines, dosages, contraindications, and protocol recommendations against original, primary medical literature and authoritative prescribing information before making diagnostic or treatment decisions.

No doctor-patient relationship is created through your access to or use of the App, Services, or any content contained therein.

3. Conflicts of Interest & Financial Disclosures

Transparency regarding commercial ties and financial relationships is essential to preserving objective scientific discourse.

3.1 Contributor & Author Disclosures

Healthcare professionals, KOLs, and community members who submit original articles, clinical commentary, MoncAir posts, or presentations are required to disclose any relevant financial relationships or potential conflicts of interest within the preceding 24 months. Relevant affiliations include, but are not limited to:

  • Consulting fees, honoraria, or advisory board memberships with commercial entities whose products or therapies are discussed;
  • Research grants, clinical trial sponsorship, or departmental funding;
  • Equity, stock ownership, or intellectual property rights (patents, royalties) in related biotechnology, medical device, or pharmaceutical companies;
  • Fiduciary, executive, or employment roles within industry entities.

3.2 Clear Labeling of Disclosures

Disclosures must be explicitly stated in contributor author profiles or directly in the header/footer of contributed clinical posts to ensure peer readers can evaluate the context and independence of the discussion.

4. Industry News & Sponsored Content Transparency

To ensure clear distinction between independent scientific content and commercially supported materials:

  • Clear Differentiation: All commercial, sponsored, or industry-partnered content is prominently tagged and visually differentiated from independent scientific journal summaries and peer discussions.
  • Editorial Independence: Advertisers and industry sponsors do not influence our algorithmic scoring, scientific content curation, or peer moderation processes. Commercial partnerships do not constitute an endorsement by MONC of any product, therapy, device, or service.
  • Regulatory Fact-Checking: Industry announcements discussing clinical trial endpoints, regulatory filings, or product indications are cross-referenced with public regulatory data where practicable.

5. Off-Label and Investigational Use Disclosures

Given that medical and interventional research frequently explores novel therapies and cutting-edge techniques:

Content on MONC may mention investigational devices, drugs, or off-label indications that have not received approval or clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or corresponding international regulatory agencies. Whenever discussing off-label or investigational uses, contributors must:

  • Clearly identify the product or technique as investigational or not currently approved for the specified indication;
  • Provide balanced, evidence-based context, citing relevant preclinical or clinical data;
  • Refrain from promoting or marketing unapproved uses to solicit commercial adoption.

6. Patient Privacy & De-Identification (HIPAA / GDPR Compliance)

Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality is of paramount importance. All users uploading or discussing clinical cases, diagnostic images (e.g., angiograms, echocardiograms, ECGs, CT/MRI scans), pathology reports, or clinical vignettes must strictly adhere to patient privacy laws, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Before posting any clinical material on MONC, you must ensure that all 18 HIPAA Safe Harbor identifiers have been completely removed or irrevocably redacted, including:

  • Patient names, initials, and geographic subdivisions smaller than a state;
  • All dates directly related to an individual (birth dates, admission dates, discharge dates, date of death);
  • Telephone numbers, fax numbers, and email addresses;
  • Medical record numbers (MRN), health plan beneficiary numbers, or account numbers;
  • Certificate/license numbers, vehicle identifiers, and device serial numbers;
  • Full-face photographic images or any comparable identifying characteristics;
  • Biometric identifiers or any other unique identifying number, characteristic, or code.

Posting identifiable Protected Health Information (PHI) is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate account suspension, content removal, and potential reporting to regulatory authorities.

7. User-Generated Content & Professional Decorum

MôNC fosters a collegial, evidence-driven community of medical peers. When contributing to MoncAir, comments, case discussions, or message threads, users agree to uphold professional standards:

  • Scientific Integrity: Avoid disseminating misleading, unverified, or fraudulent clinical claims. Support contentious claims with reputable citations.
  • Respectful Discourse: Constructive peer disagreement is welcomed; ad hominem attacks, harassment, defamatory statements, or unprofessional conduct will not be tolerated.
  • Commercial Solicitation: Direct marketing, spam, unsolicited product promotion, or deceptive affiliate marketing within user forums is strictly forbidden.

8. Intellectual Property & Citation Standards

MONC respects intellectual property rights and adheres to fair use principles for scientific and educational commentary:

  • Summaries and digests generated on MONC highlight key takeaways while providing direct links and citations to the original publisher, DOI, or source publication whenever possible.
  • Users must possess the necessary rights, licenses, or fair use justifications for any third-party images, diagrams, or excerpts they upload.
  • If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on MONC, please review our DMCA take-down procedure below.

9. Content Moderation, Reporting & Removal

MONC employs a combination of automated screening tools, peer reporting mechanisms, and editorial review to maintain platform compliance.

Users can report any post, comment, or summary that violates this policy directly through the in-app reporting button or by emailing [email protected]. We review all reports promptly and reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to:

  • Suspend or terminate posting privileges or user accounts for repeated or egregious violations;
  • Notify relevant institutional or regulatory bodies in cases of severe patient privacy violations.
